During the Electronic Environment 2011 in April Jan Welinder from SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden published the good news that Sweden will be hosting the International Conference EMC Europe 2014.

Jan Welinder is the Swedish representative on the International Organizing Committee and, together with Just Events Sweden AB, Gothenburg City and colleagues at the SP, has developed the proposal that received approval. The conference will be held in Gothenburg with Just Event Sweden AB as a organizer.

EMC Europe began in 1994 as EMC Europe Roma. It was arranged on three occasions in Rome and then move around in Europe every other year. Two other major European EMC conferences; EMC Wroclaw and Zurich have been arranged in parallel over these years but now they have merged all three conferences to a large EMC Europe. The fact that Sweden now will host this major conference is therefore a unique opportunity for EMC Sweden visibility both nationally and internationally.
